MONDAY: This day was way fun! Since we are in a Sistrict (a district with mostly sisters) we all decided to go thrifting and shopping in downtown Newton! I got the cutest ring from a fun flea market!
TUESDAY: Something eventful this day was while I was driving, I needed to adjust the rear view mirror to see better out the back. As I was adjusting the mirror, it fell off in my hands! LOL I gave sister Larsen the mirror and we drove to into a Walmart parking lot. We called the vehicle coordinator and he said to make an appointment and we would be fine to keep driving without the mirror. So we were mirrorless for a while. Something awesome this day was we had the BEST lesson with Marco! We talked about the plan of salvation, he had so many questions answered, and the spirit was so strong!
WEDNESDAY: We got to visit a member who doesn't come to church much anymore. She was baptized a few years ago and kind of just stopped coming. She is the sweetest lady ever, and our visits with her always lift my spirits. We invited her to church and she said she wanted to come! We had a couple lessons fall through but we got to visit with some members who were there for the lesson so that was fun! We also got to invite a salesbro to church! We saw him walking door to door so we talked to him and said we are doing the same thing, and talked about Jesus Christ! We gave him our card and he said he would check it out.
THURSDAY: Not much happened this day other than we got our rear view mirror fixed. After a couple days of driving without it I may need to relearn to use it again while I'm driving haha. Also each car has this system called Tiwi that tracks your speed and driving to make sure that you are driving safely in the mission vehicles and there is a card that every missionary gets that they use to login to the Tiwi so it tracks each driver. Something super fun is Sister Larsen has a bunch of stickers and she let me use them to decorate and customize my Tiwi card!
FRIDAY: The weather was kind of crazy this day but we had a lesson planned with a new friend in the morning at the church. Because of mission rules we have to be in a public area for lessons with the opposite gender unless we have a female with us. We couldn't find a woman to come so we brought our friend brother Stamps and planned on sitting outside for our lesson. As we were in our lesson it started raining so we all moved under the deck of the church. As we were having this lesson is started pouring, hailing, and thundering. It was such a spiritual and fun lesson! We got to teach someone the gospel and sit on the steps of the church to watch the storm (in true Kansan fashion). The rest of this day lowkey got cooked by the weather! We were stuck inside all day because the storm turned into a tornado watch. So we couldn't go out and do lessons or knock. So we pretty much did some phone call lessons, called some referrals, and studied our scriptures.
SATURDAY: We had an awesome lesson with Marco and we got to knock. We got stuck at a sweet old ladies house because she was telling us her whole life story but she probably told us her story 3 times because she kept forgetting what details she told us so she just kept yapping. This unfortunately happens often haha, we call them the Kansas Yapper. I also got my first aggressive driving from Tiwi this day… pray I don’t get any more. Also we got transfer news this day! And I'm transferring again! WHAT. Going into my 3rd transfer and my 3rd area! I'm so sad to be leaving this area and all of our friends but I know that Gods plan will always be better than mine. We transfer on Tuesday so the next couple days will be me trying to get everything packed.
SUNDAY: We said our goodbyes to the ward members and our friends. We helped our neighbor plant some flowers and garden in her garden. Hit me up if you ever need help planning cucumber plants.
Fun/Funny moments:
♡ The quad did a megabed sleep over for docdrop/transfer news.
♡ We went for a couple runs around the park.
♡ I lost my keys when they were right in front of my face.
♡ We taught Marco how to fold up a church chair
God is so good!
