March 30th, 2026

Hello!!! Last week was crazy so I didn’t have time to write an email but here are some highlights:
*Lots and lots and lots of knocking doors ðŸ’€
*We knocked on a door, this guy answered and asked if we were Christian. We said yes, and out of nowhere he SCREAMED “CHECK IT OUT!” so loud, while flipping his whole body around and pointing to a no soliciting sign… and then he calmly walked inside and said “love you guys though” while closing the door.
*We had Zone Conference and they had me film an add for Facebook…
*We had such a good day on Saturday! Lots of pop up lessons and cool people!
Sunday was good the first half of the day! We went to Church, took the Sacrament, had a great lesson. But the second half of the day was so insane!

1.The first person we talked to was a pastor for another church, he walked out with a smile on his face and tried to bash us. During bashes I've been trying to reflect on What Jesus would do or say, so we were able to keep it pretty contention free, he's going to read the Book of Mormon, and I walked away knowing that I was a good example of a representative of Jesus Christ and that I accomplished my missionary purpose! (Which doesn't always happen when there's a bible bash). Also pray for Will's wife! She has cancer and isn't doing well:(
2. Immediately after we got bashed we knocked into this super crazy lady who got all up in our business and was yelling at us about how God isn't real and how she doesn't believe in anything. She thinks that once she dies that's it and that's the end. I asked for her name at the end and she told me “you don't get to know that!” While pointing and shaking her head at me. She was definitely an interesting lady. Me and Sister Larsen couldn't help but laugh after because it was such a weird conversation. It also made me super sad because I couldn't help but see her through God’s eyes and just think about how heartbroken Heavenly Father must be to see his child so lost and have such hatred towards him.
Immediately after that!
3. We knocked on a door, a lady answered and through the storm door glass said “I know who you are!” pointing at us. She said “you're from the Church of Jesus Christ”. We said “Yes we are!” She then held up her finger and with so much sass said “UH UH UH, I AM from the CHURCH of Christ, the ONLY church!” And just sat there shaking her head until we left…

This week:

Monday:  We got to hangout with our district and play pickleball, and some card games! We also ate Subway which was yummy.

Tuesday: We were supposed to have a lesson with Marco at the church but he got into a car crash on the way there. Freaking Satan bro. He asked us “why is it that when I am making good decisions in my life that hard things start to happen?”. Marco is okay, he isn’t hurt but pray that he will be able to find peace in the gospel instead of turning away from it.

Wednesday: This day was pretty awesome! We were in Little Mexico and got to talk to a lot of people who seemed pretty interested and said to come back the next day! One of the people we talked to may have been holding a razor blade the entire conversation but we kept our distance and God kept us safe. Later in the day we got to attend a baptism for a friend of the elders in our district! This was the first baptism I’ve attended for someone over the age of 8. It was the sweetest experience ever! When he came out of the water the spirit was so strong and his smile was so big! His little girl was kneeling down by the glass and she was smiling so big too. He blew her a kiss and she blew one right back through the glass. Me and Sister Evans were just crying. It was amazing getting to see someone making these covenants with God and being so overjoyed.

Thursday: I was so insanely tired! I kept falling asleep during my personal study and anytime I was literally just sitting down. We went back to all the people who said to come back and literally none of them answered their door, so that was my absolute favorite… Some fun parts of this day was seeing a drug deal go down, and almost getting smacked off a porch by a storm door.

Friday: It was freezing and no one was interested :( but it was still a good day! just lots of knocking.

Saturday: Lots of knocking, Sister Larsen Biffed it on a door step, and Marco told us that he loves the Book of Mormon and it’s changed his life! We also ate yummy Braums shakes.

Sunday: nothing eventful, but we had an amazing sacrament meeting and got to talk about palm Sunday.

Fun/Funny:
♡ I'm getting better at introducing myself in Spanish.
♡ I started listening to/reading the Saints book! I love it!
♡ We started a joy wall! We put everything that brought us joy that day on a sticky note and put it up on the wall. There's so much joy everyday!
♡ We had lots of member meals!

Oh, I'm so white!

Monday: Our district played wiffle ball, board games, and signed transfer journals (pretty much mission year books). After that we went knocking in Concordia and found a new friend! We spent all night packing up for transfers the next day.

Tuesday: Transfers! Holy cow we got the craziest transfer news. Both me and my trainer were getting transferred and we BOTH got transferred to Valley Center, Wichita! WHAT! I am so happy that I get to stay with Sister Larsen. And guess what! We are living with 2 other sisters! I have always wanted to live in a quad and it’s seriously so fun. The other 2 sisters are the best. It's hard to get to bed on time because we all just love hanging out together. Something so crazy about this transfer is we are opening up a new area. We have no friends that we are teaching and we are starting the area from scratch, so that’s a little stressful but pray we can find lots of people who are ready and prepared to learn about the gospel! We spent the rest of the day unpacking and getting settled in.

Wednesday: We knocked all day which was fun because it was super warm outside, we were fed by members, and we went to our ward's young women’s and got to meet some members which was awesome. This ward is seriously so sweet! I love them so much, they keep us fed and make sure we always have leftovers and snacks at our house.

Thursday: I met my new district, we weekly planned, we were fed again, and then we had a relief society activity at the church. On our way to the activity we got a call from a sweet member, we had just met the day before, and she said that a guy had just walked into the church and was interested in learning more. When we got there we met Marco! Marco is so ready and prepared to learn more about the gospel. He said that he just saw cars in the parking lot and the church lights on and said that he felt like he needed to come in! We gave him a tour of the church and talked about Jesus Christ and his atonement, the sacrament, baptism, and pretty much how our church is run. It was such a good lesson and the best part was Marco recognizing the spirit and he said that it was exactly what he needed! God is so good!

Friday: We pretty much just knocked all day, nothing too exciting happened.

Saturday: We knocked all day in Lil’ Mexico which was hard because everyone speaks Spanish and if you know anything about me you know I don’t speak any español. It sucked because even my google translate was betraying me and the conversation pretty much ended after me llamo hermana Alexander, and then uno momento lo siento as I was pulling out my phone for google translate. Anyway, we eventually met someone who spoke English and he was talking about how he was taking lessons from the JWs but we got into a conversation about the bible and Jesus Christ. The spirit must have been there because by the end of our conversation he wanted a copy of the Book of Mormon! God is so good! ALSO Jose got baptized this day!!!! I am so proud of him but so sad I had to leave the area before I could see him get baptized.

Sunday: Marco came to church! and we had another amazing lesson. It got cold again. And we had the yummiest member meal yet!

Fun/Funny moments:
♡ We got fed pizza 3 nights in a row, and still have tons of pizza in our fridge.
♡ The temple is in our area! Pray I'll stay in this area long enough to help open it!
♡ This isn’t fun or funny but I've seen more roadkill since being here in Kansas than I ever have in my entire life and in little Mexico there was a dog who was ran over and has probably been there for over a month.
♡ The first night in our new place there was an insane thunderstorm.
♡ our house has 3 floors and has like no lights anywhere, it gets pretty dark at night haha.
♡ We have a pickleball court across the street from our house.
♡ We have to do a Facebook ad for our mission.
♡ Talked to a JW named Jared. He was a little grumpy to be talking to us, but we said we would look at the JW website if he took a look into ours!
♡ I misheard a man's name because of his thick accent, I thought he said Dano and his name was Daniel, when I found out I said it wrong I accidentally said “oh, I'm so white”. I then spent the next 10 min feeling super bad and embarrassed that I said that.
♡ I've watched the Easter message like 10 times, it's so good! Watch it if you haven't already. I'll add it in my google photos.

Scripture:
“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
—John 15:12–13

March 2nd - 8th

MONDAY: We finally had a lesson with Travis after a month of knowing him! His sleep schedule is all over the place so it's hard finding a time to meet with him but we were able to teach him the restoration! He loves everything about the falling away and he said it just makes sense the way it all happened. Which is so awesome! And then we taught him about the Book of Mormon and gave him a copy, something so so so amazing is he decided to flip to a random page and read a random verse and he literally flipped to Mosiah 15 which talks all about the restoration and the verse he read was exactly what we were just talking about! God is seriously SO GOOD!

TUESDAY: Not too much happened. We had a lesson with José, did personal studies, knocked for a little, deep cleaned our apartment, and got a sweet treat from DQ.

WEDNESDAY: Such an AMAZING day! We did our district meeting here in Concordia which was awesome because it saved us 2 hours of travel. And then we all went to eat at pizza hut and got a ton of food to split. After that since our district was in our area they were able to work our area for about an hour and they found 2 new people to teach! Sister Larsen and I also found someone. And since the Spanish elders were here they had a lesson with our friend José in spanish which was super cool because they were able to teach him a little more to his understanding. After that, Sister Larsen and I did some service of organizing tupperware. Then we had dinner at the theobalds and they fed us lasagna and ice cream! Fun fact about me: those are some of my comfort and favorite foods! God is so good.

THURSDAY: I couldn’t stop laughing, everything was making me laugh this day. We had a ton of pop up lessons which was awesome! We got to read with Darrell which always makes my day! And everything he was saying made me laugh so hard. And then we had a super good lesson with Hayley and Kyle about the priesthood and the spirit was so strong! Hayley played us some primary songs after the lesson too which was super nostalgic. When we got home the elders called us into a card game which was so sweet of them to include us! It was actually so funny though because it felt like we were a fly on the wall in the elders apartment because they definitely forgot we were on the phone a couple of times and it was just fun to see all of them hanging out together.

FRIDAY: Tornado watch!!🌪 this day started out super warm and nice weather and we had 7 lessons planned which was awesome! We had our personal study interrupted by a knock on the door by 2 workers who were here to fix something in the house, so we had to leave somewhere else to study (we can’t be in the house when people are working in the house) so we went out to this cute breakfast place and ran into someone we knew there so RIP personal and companion study. (We loved hanging out with our friend tho♡) And then in a split second we had 3 lessons fall through, and got rained out midway through a lesson! After all of this we were out knocking and we got news that we had to go home due to a tornado watch! But it was great because we ate tacos, called some people, and we got our study time back!!! God is so good! There was no actual tornado other than whatever whirlwind today was.

SATURDAY: Doc Drop! For transfers we do this thing called Doc Drop where the mission President sends out a Google doc just saying if you're transferring to a new area or not. All day me and sister Larsen were making predictions for our whole district of who's leaving or staying. President Terry really does not like splitting people up when they are in training and he pretty much told us that unless God tells him otherwise that we would be staying together. Well I guess God told him otherwise because me and sister Larsen are both transferring out of this area!! WHAT! When me and sister Larsen saw that we were both leaving we screamed! It's crazy though because they don't tell us where we are transferring to or who our new companion is until the day of transfers. But it's so so so sad because José is on date to be baptized 4 days after we leave!!! We are so sad. And I'm just super sad to be leaving sister Larsen too. But I know that it's all apart of God's plan and hopefully I will be able to learn and grow so much for the last part of my training with my new trainer and new area. God's plan not mine♡

SUNDAY: Since we are leaving on Tuesday this was our last day to see all of our friends. We got to see quite a few friends at church and say goodbye there but there's a lot of friends I won't get to say goodbye to, which is actually heartbreaking! But it was warmer weather and the UV was a 4, I got a mini watch and farmer's tan already! We started packing up and were getting ready to leave Concordia.

Fun/Funny moments
♡I beat my district in an intense game of flip 7
♡Sister Larsen and I bought a huge jar of pickles just for it to fall and break out of the car immediately after we got home from the store.
♡ I wore through my first pair of socks on the mission.
♡ Sister Graul gave us bananas after visiting her.
♡We turned into handymen and fixed someone's bathtub.
♡We had a whole 20min conversation through Google translate and used the 3 Spanish words I know to refer someone to the Spanish elders.
♡ I accidentally blinded myself with a lamp and pretty much recited the first vision better than I ever have before.
♡Sister Larsen fell off of a slide! Peep the Google photos!

God is so good!

Can you hear me?

Monday: This day was awesome, after our prep day we went out to knock for a little bit. We drove past a street and sister Larsen felt impressed to go back. We parked our car and said a prayer that we would be led to who we needed to talk to on this street. When we opened our eyes after the prayer this garage opened and Matthew pulled up in his truck. He was headed inside and I jumped out of the car and caught him before he got inside. I asked him how he was doing and he said honestly not great. He is going through a divorce and was having a really hard day. He asked how we knew that he needed someone to talk to. We were able to tell him that God led us there and we had a really good conversation about God’s plan and Jesus Christ and His atonement. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he said we could come by anytime!

Tuesday: This day was super busy but also awesome! We had 3 lessons and some meetings. But we met with Jonathan to start the day. He had his baptismal interview which was great and he has the strongest desire to get baptized. After that we had a lesson with José. We went over the restoration, he is also so excited to get baptized, he started inviting everyone he knows and talks to haha! And then we went back over to Matthews house and had a lesson with him. He said that he felt better after we left the other day. He had a lot of questions for us and we had a really great lesson about God's Plan and the Plan of Salvation. We were really able to teach to his needs in that lesson and he said to come by anytime again!

Wednesday: This day was a super sad day! Jonathan texted and let us know that he relapsed on smoking meaning that he couldn’t be baptized on Saturday. As sad as I was I know that this was a million times harder for Jonathan because he just has the biggest testimony and desire to be baptized. I also had my first baby bash with someone and he pretty much was telling us what we believed and he was super wrong which was frustrating and he wouldn’t let us explain what we actually believe anyway that made me super grumpy. But we had dinner with the Theobalds and they always make my day better. They are so sweet and fun to be around. After dinner I was still bummed about Jonathan and I felt a little guilty for feeling sad because ultimately this baptism isn’t for me it’s for him. It started raining and there was the most beautiful sunset on our drive home and it felt like a gift from God. In that moment, I also knew that God was grieving with us and Jonathan, and I knew that it was all going to be okay and it's apart of God's plan.

Thursday: This day was good! We got to go to our district council meeting, plan our day in the warm sun, read with Darrell, and had a good lesson with Hayley and Kyle.

Friday: Best day! We had exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders (STLs). We went to their area in Manhattan. I was with sister Pratt, and Sister Larsen was with sister Ehat. We started the day off strong by forgetting our service clothes. Whoops! Anyway we were like 1hr away from our apartment so we went to walmart to get some clothes and we took 1 car. Basically the other sisters had a lesson so they left us at Walmart and ended up having a 2 ½ hour lesson. So we were stuck at Walmart for 2 ½ hours without a car. We ended up just walking around and contacting people in Walmart which was pretty fun. After that we did service which was painting garden boxes! And then after that me and sister Pratt got stuck in the apartment because sister Larsen and Ehat dropped us off and forgot to give us the keys to the car and didn’t see any of our calls. We ended up having a really good phone call lesson. I still had a great day and I learned to make the most out of any situation!

Saturday-Sunday: Not much happened these days but Sunday is always good because of church and the sacrament. We also had a lot of people who let us share a message with them which was awesome!

Fun/Funny moments
♡ Exchanges are pretty much a fun sleep over!
♡ me and sister Pratt found cute Jesus books about Easter
♡ there was a guy who was doing some yard work and we were talking to him/got to know him a little, I asked him if we could share a message he said “no”. I asked “why not”, he didn't answer and started to yard work again. I asked again “is there a reason why not?” Still no answer. So I asked “Kevin can you hear me?” LOL he chuckled and said yes. We left him alone after that but me and sister Larsen were laughing about that for a while.
♡ We went out knocking in the freezing rain.
♡ we got matching silly T Shirts with the STLs for service.
♡We made chocolate covered strawberries.

GOD IS GOOD!
